Custom Monitors enables you to create SNMP Consoles to monitor applications that expose management information through SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol).

For example, if you have any application that has an SNMP interface, then you can manage it by building Custom Monitors in Applications Manager.

To monitor custom attributes of your applications, you need to discover SNMP Agent data source. These custom monitors provide a real-time, correlated view of the entire application stack. This enables you to monitor performance of your C, Java / J2EE or other custom applications through a SNMP Agent.

You can configure alerts and set thresholds in order to get notified when a problem occurs. The instant alerts and notifications help you in taking quick corrective actions though e-mail, SMS, traps and executing custom scripts & MBean Operations.

We are using ManageEngine® Applications Manager to monitor server health and availability along with database health. The alert systems warn us ahead if the health is on its way to becoming critical. The reports help us observe the trend over a period of time. This program has helped us a lot by keeping a check on all of our systems at an affordable cost.
